Ockham-IPS (Institute for Policy Support) is always looking for ambitious, academically trained professionals. Ockham-IPS is a (policy) research institute that primarily works for Dutch and European government institutions in the fields of labour markets, education, and regional economic development.
Responsibilities
As a policy researcher, you will contribute to research projects for our clients (including Dutch ministries, European institutions, and UNESCO). Your tasks will include:
- Conducting desk research
- Conducting (group) interviews
- Developing and distributing questionnaires
- Analysing data
- Writing reports
In addition, you will contribute to drafting proposals for the (inter)national market.
We are looking for candidates with:
- A completed relevant academic degree, such as sociology, public administration, geography, or a comparable field
- Interest in and affinity with policy research and related advisory work
- Interest in and affinity with the education-labour market field, preferably demonstrated through study or work experience
- Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent command of Dutch and English (proficiency in other European languages is a plus)
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- High stress tolerance
- Experience in conducting research and advisory projects in the Netherlands and/or internationally is an advantage
Location
Our office is located in the city centre of Utrecht at Oudegracht aan de Werf 62. We also have an office in Zwolle at Burgemeester van Roijensingel 2.
