Interim evaluation of the EC Library and e-Resources Centre

Ockham IPS and Panteia implemented the interim evaluation of the EC Library and e-Resources Centre (assigned by the European Commission). The evaluation assessed the extent to which the relevance, utility, effectiveness and efficiency of the Commission Library (CL) has improved as a result of the response to the external evaluation carried out in 2009. Based on the findings, the evaluation specifically included recommendations on how to ensure the continued relevance, utility, effectiveness and efficiency of the activities and organisation of the Commission Library in this changing context of library services within the European Commission. In answering the evaluation questions and sub questions, the evaluation employed a mixed method approach, including the a document review, online survey, interviews, focus groups and expert assessment.
