The evaluation of the UNESCO thematic area on TVET and its strategy had two purposes: Firstly, to assess progress achieved in the implementation of the TVET Strategy. Secondly, to inform the proposal for a follow-up of the TVET Strategy in view of lessons learned and of the global debate around the post-2015 development agenda. Two global surveys were launched in the framework of this evaluation under VET stakeholders and country studies were conducted. The evaluation was commissioned by UNESCO IOS and implemented in 2015.
