The assignment aimed to contribute to the realization of the Global Gateway Africa-Europe Investment Package by providing an analysis that could support the development of the above-outlined mechanism (MODER), which would promote policy dialogue and regional coordination on education in Africa, inspired by the EU open method of coordination in education. Two tasks were foreseen: task one focused on organizing the Open Method of Coordination in Europe, and task two examined the coordination mechanisms in place in Africa, particularly the regional economic communities (RECs) and clusters structures of the AUC concerning education, to determine the optimal approach for developing the MODER mechanism.
